The common faults of hydraulic presses are as follows:
Insufficient pressure
- Cause: It might be that the hydraulic pump is worn out, with severe internal leakage, resulting in insufficient output flow. The overflow valve
malfunctions, such as the valve core being stuck or the spring being damaged, preventing the system pressure from rising. Hydraulic oil
contamination can clog filters or throttle ports, affecting the flow of oil. Pipeline leakage caused pressure loss.
- Troubleshooting method: Repair or replace the worn hydraulic pump; Inspect or replace the relief valve; Replace the hydraulic oil and
filters regularly and clean the throttle ports. Search for and repair the leakage area.
Not flexible in movement
- Cause: The piston seal of the hydraulic cylinder is damaged, resulting in internal leakage and affecting the movement of the piston.
The wear of the guide rail increases the friction of the moving parts. Electrical control system failures, such as solenoid valves not operating
and sensor malfunctions, lead to abnormal signal transmission.
- Troubleshooting method: Replace the hydraulic cylinder seal; Repair or replace the worn guide rails; Inspect the electrical control system and
repair or replace the faulty components.
The oil temperature is too high.
- Cause: Poor heat dissipation of the hydraulic system, such as radiator blockage and cooling fan failure; The system pressure is too high and it
has been in a high-pressure working state for a long time. Improper selection of hydraulic oil, with either too high or too low viscosity, will lead
to increased energy loss and a rise in oil temperature.
- Troubleshooting method: Clean the radiator, repair or replace the cooling fan; Adjust the system pressure to avoid long-term high-pressure
operation; Choose hydraulic oil of appropriate viscosity.
Loud noise
- Cause: The hydraulic pump sucks in air, generating cavitation and causing noise. The hydraulic pump is worn out and its internal parts are
damaged, resulting in unbalanced operation. Pipeline vibration may be due to loose fixation or the hydraulic oil flow rate being too fast.
- Troubleshooting method: Inspect the suction pipeline of the hydraulic pump to expel air. Repair or replace the worn hydraulic pump;
Tighten the pipelines and adjust the flow rate of the hydraulic oil.
