A Brief Introduction to the General Process Flow of a Stretching Hydraulic Press

1. Preparation

Prepare the stretching hydraulic press, materials, and molds. Check the equipment status, confirming the oil level in the tank and that the hydraulic system is functioning normally.

2. Material Processing (Optional)

For certain materials (such as deep-drawn stainless steel parts), it is necessary to heat the material to an appropriate temperature to prevent cracking or damage during the stretching process. For example, stainless steel water tanks typically require high-temperature annealing at over 1200 degrees Celsius after stretching to eliminate internal stress.

3. Mold Installation

Install the molds according to the required shape. Fix the molds to the worktable using pressure plates or T-slot bolts, adjust the mold clearance, and ensure they are securely fixed. For equipment with hydraulic cushions, the position of the ejector pins also needs to be adjusted.

4. Parameter Setting

Set the stretching speed and force, including:

• Main cylinder pressure: Set according to material thickness and stretching depth

• Blank holder force: Infinitely adjustable via hydraulic cushion to prevent wrinkling

• Speed parameters: Downward speed, feed speed, return speed

• Holding time: Set according to process requirements

5. Stretching and Forming

Start the hydraulic press and complete the stretching action according to the set program:

• Rapid slide descent: Approaching the workpiece

• Slow feed: Performing stretching and forming

• Holding pressure: Ensuring sufficient plastic deformation of the material

• Pressure release and return: The slide returns

6. Unloading and Removal

• Ejector cylinder ejection: Ejecting the workpiece from the lower die

• Auxiliary tool removal: Removing the workpiece using auxiliary tools if necessary

• Workpiece inspection: Inspecting the forming quality; adjusting parameters promptly if problems are found
